Organisasi/Lembaga pengetest Antivirus Independen (AV-Test.org) di bulan Maret ini kembali melakukan test terbarunya terhadap 30 Antivirus. Test ini tidak berfokus pada pendeteksian antivirus, tetapi pada malware. Berdasarkan laporannya, di bulan Januari dan Februari tahun 2008 saja, AV-Test.org telah menemukan contoh sekitar 1.1 Juta unik malware yang menyebar di Internet. Sebagai perbandingan di tahun 2005 saja hanya ditemukan sekitar 330.000 dan 972.000 di tahun 2006, sedangkan sampai tahun 2007 ditemukan hampir 5.490.000 malware.

Seperti yang telah diberitakan Avira tanggal 15 April 2008 kemarin (Company News), Avira telah merilis antivirus versi baru mereka dengan Engine Virus Scanner baru AntiVir Scan Engine 8. Versi ini sudah tidak dinamakan dengan PersonalEdition Classic lagi, tetapi Avira Antivir Personal.

Mereka menyatakan bahwa engine versi baru ini meningkatkan performance sampai 20%. Selain itu Avira Antivir versi 8 ini, juga tampil dengan GUI (Graphical User Interface) yang baru.

Saat ini Portable Document Format (PDF) sudah menjadi distribusi dokumen standard dalam hal keamanan dan dapat diandalkan di seluruh dunia. Sebagian besar dokumen yang disertakan dalam email untuk kelengkapan data, biasanya disertakan dalam pdf. Untuk menghasilkan dokumen dalam format pdf sudah banyak software yang tersedia secara gratis. Jika hanya ingin menghasilkan dari Word, Excel dan sejenisnya, maka bisa digunakan OpenOffice. Semua aplikasinya sudah menyertakan fasilitas untuk menyimpan data dalam format pdf. Tapi bagaimana jika kita ingin menghasilkan dokument dari aplikasi lain, seperti pengolah vektor, gambar, web site dan lainnya ?

Jawabannya adalah dengan fasilitas print langsung ke format PDF. Jadi jika aplikasi tersebut menyertakan fasilitas print ( biasanya menu File > print ), maka dapat dihasilkan dokumen dalam format pdf. Berikut beberapa aplikasi gratis / opensource yang dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk menghasilkan pdf.

Dengan CutePDF writer, kita dapat menghasilkan pdf dengan mudah. CutePDF Writer menginstall dirinya sebagai “printer subsystem”, sehingga kita dapat mencetak secara virtual ke format pdf. CutePDF Writer (CutePDF Printer) merupakan versi gratis dari CutePDF Profesional.

CutPDF Writer berlisensi FREE untuk personal dan commercial, tidak ada watermarks juga Popup Web Ads. Untuk dapat memanghasilkan pdf, CutePDF memerlukan PS2PDF converter seperti Ghostscript, yang juga disediakan link di websitenya. Jika hanya untuk menghasilkan pdf, tanpa tambahan fasilitas lainnya, maka cutePDF merupakan aplikasi yang cukup bagus.

3. Pdf955

Dibanding aplikasi sebelumnya pdf955 mungkin merupakan pdf creator yang mempunyai fasilitas paling lengkap, tetapi untuk memanfaatkannya berbagai fasilitasnya mungkin kurang praktis, karena melalui aplikasi terpisah. Dan satu hal yang membedakan dengan aplikasi sebelumnya bahwa pdf955 versi gratis selalu menampilkan PopUpWindow ketika dijalankan (Pesan sponsor), yang mungkin terkadang menjengkelkan. Pdf955 juga menggunakan GPL Ghostscript, seperti CutePDF.

Untuk mengedit pdf, diperlukan aplikasi tambahan yaitu pdf955edit. Cara menghasilkan dokumen PDF

Untuk menghasilkan file PDF, secara umum tinggal piih Menu File > Print ( atau menu lainnya untuk mencetak dokumen), kemudian dibagian Select Printer, pilih nama aplikasi yang sesuai, misalnya CutePDF, PrimoPDF, PDF955 atau PDFCreator. kemudian klik Print. Jika memerlukan opsi tambahan maka akan ditampilkan, atau langsung ditampilkan lokasi dimana file akan disimpan.

Mengubah huruf Hard Disk / Removable Drive dengan mudah

Bagi yang sering menginstall sistem operasi Windows, terkadang setelah selesai dan Hardisk terbagi dalam beberapa partisi, urutan partisi tidak seperti biasanya, mungkin drive CD-ROM tidak berada di akhir urutan. Hal ini sebenarnya tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja komputer, hanya saja biasanya drive CD-ROM berada di urutan paling akhir dan jika tidak, sering membuat bingung. Hal itu biasanya disebabkan ada partisi yang belum di format ketika menginstall windows, sampai selesai installasi. Jika menggunakan aplikasi pihak ketika mungkin bisa menggunakan Partition Manager dan sejenisnya, tetapi sebenarnya Windows (Xp) sudah memiliki fasilitas ini, termasuk memformat partisi yang tidak terdeteksi oleh Windows Explorer. Bagaimana caranya?

Caranya sebagai berikut :

Buka Control Panel. Start Menu > Control Panel
Pilih Administrative Tools
Pilih Computer Management
Di bagian storage, pilih Disk Management
Maka setelah ditunggu sebentar, akan ditampilkan formasi partisi hardisk kita. Termasuk partisi yang belum diformat
Untuk mengubah Drive letter, klik kanan partisi yang diinginkan atau CD-ROM dan pilih menu Change Drive Letter and paths..
Di Window yang tampil pilih change, dan ganti nama drive yang tersedia

Sebagai contoh jika kita memiliki 5 partisi C: D: E: F: dan G: , dan ternyata drive CD-ROMnya F: dan ingin kita ubah menjadi G:, maka ubah terlebih dahulu drive G: menjadi H: atau yang lain, kemudian setelah selesai, baru ubah drive F: (CD-ROM) menjadi G:. Setelah drive CD-ROM berubah, baru ubah kembali drive H: menjadi F:.

Fasilitas ini juga bisa berguna ketika kita memasang USB flash disk, kemudian memasang kamera. Terkadang kamera kita tidak terdeteksi di Windows Explorer. Hal ini biasanya karena drive letter-nya dipakai oleh Flash disk ( ada kamera yang tidak bisa ditampilkan ketika sudah ada Flash disk atau USB port sedang dipakai alat lain). Cara mengatasi hal ini, ubah saja drive letter USB tersebut ke huruf lain, kemudian kembali masukkan kabel kamera ke port USB

Gagal me-restore (mengembalikan) file yang terhapus ?

Meskipun saat ini sudah banyak software recovery dengan kemampuan yang baik, tetapi tidak semua file yang ditampilkan akan bisa dibuka. Bahkan jika tidak berhati-hati, file-file tersebut kadang rusak dan tidak bisa dikembalikan lagi. Hal ini biasa terjadi jika file tersebut merupakan binary file (mp3, doc, xls, file-file video dan lainnya). Binary file merupakan kebalikan dari text file yang isinya hanya berupa text.

Untuk binary file yang berukuran misalnya 40 KB ( 40 x 1024 bytes = 40.960 bytes), kerusakan satu bytes saya bisa menyebabkan file rusak dan tidak bisa dibuka sama sekali, atau jika bisa dibuka tampilannya aneh/rusak. Berbeda jika hanya text files, jika ada bytes yang rusak, maka file masih bisa terbaca. Oleh karena itu jika ada file atau data penting yang terhapus, harus hati-hati menggunakan komputer. Ada beberapa hal yang perlu kita diperhatikan.

Jika file penting terhapus, maka usahakan jangan gunakan komputer untuk menjalankan aplikasi /program apapun. Jika di flashdisk, maka jangan menulis/menambah data apapun di flashdisk. Intinya usahakan agar jangan ada / banyak aktifitas menulis hardisk/flashdisk Misalnya menyimpan data, mencopy data, menjalankan aplikasi yang memerlukan memori hardisk besar seperti photoshop dan lainnya. Apalagi defragment hardisk, dapat dipastikan file yang terhapus kemungkinan besar tidak akan bisa dikembalikan dengan software lagi. Pastikan yang pertama kali dijalankan adalah aplikasi recovery.

Jika software recovery sudah menemukan daftar file-file yang terhapus, maka mulailah merestore file tersebut dan simpan di lokasi drive yang berbeda dengan lokasi asal file. Misalnya file yang terhapus di drive D:\, maka simpan hasil recovery di drive lain misalnya C:\ , E:\ atau di flashdisk. Setelah selesai, dan ternyata tidak bisa dibuka, coba gunakan software recovery yang lain, dengan cara sama. Ketika sudah mencoba beberapa recovery tetapi ternyata filenya tidak bisa dibuka semua, maka kemungkinan memang file tersebut sudah rusak, biasanya datanya ( bytes data ) tertumpuk oleh data lainnya. Jika sebagian isi file hanya berupa text file, dan kita ingin melihat sebagian isinya, maka bisa dicoba dengan membukanya melalui Hex Editor.

Pada dasarnya semua file yang dihapus, baik hapus biasa kemudian empty recycle bin, Shift+Delete, maupun yang dihapus oleh virus, jika waktu diantara file tersebut dihapus dan recovery hardisk/flasdisk belum digunakan, maka kemungkinan masih bisa direcovery. Hal ini lain jika kita manghapus dengan menggunakan software khusus, misalnya fasilitas shredder file, yang tidak akan bisa direcovery lagi.

Tips berbagai cara menyimpan satu halaman web

Ketika kita menjumpai halaman web dengan artikel yang menarik, dan ingin disimpan penuh termasuk gambarnya, maka pada umumnya bisa digunakan menu standard : File > Save as ( Internet Explorer atau Opera ) atau Save Page as ( Mozilla Firefox ) kemudian dibagian save as type dipilih Web Page, Complete, sehingga seluruh halaman web akan tersimpan. Tetapi hal ini ada beberapa kelemahan, yaitu banyaknya file yang akan ikut tersimpan dan jika ada satu image yang loading (tampil) nya lama, maka sering halaman web tidak bisa tersimpan. Adakah alternatif atau cara lain yang lebih baik ?

Berikut beberapa alternatif atau cara lain jika kita ingin menyimpan penuh satu halaman web.

Menyimpan dalam web archive

Bagi pengguna Opera mungkin sudah tidak asing dengan fasilitas ini. Kita dapat menyimpan satu halaman penuh termasuk gambar yang ditampilkan dalam sebuah file saja ( Web Archive ), yang bisa ditampilkan di web browser secara offline. Caranya melalui menu File > save as, kemudian dari window yang tampil dipilih tipe ( bagian Save as type ) web archive ( single file), file nantinya akan tersimpan dalam format *.mht ( Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension HTML / MHTML / MHT ) . Bagi pengguna Internet Explorer, mulai versi 7 fasilitas ini juga telah tersedia, yaitu ketika menyimpan halaman memilih tipe Web Archive, single file ( *.mht).

Menyimpan dalam format pdf

Hal ini sangat berguna jika kita ingin menghasilkan satu halaman web dalam bentuk pdf. Bagaimana caranya ? Gunakan saja software gratis seperti PDF Creator, CutePDf, PrimoPDF dan sejenisnya. Bisa dilihat artikel : Membuat dokumen PDF gratis dan mudah. Jika software ini sudah diinstall, kemudian kita ingin menyimpan halaman dalam format pdf, tinggal memilih menu File > Print, kemudian pada bagian Printer - Name dipilih software pdf yang telah diinstall, misalnya CutePDF, PDF Creator atau lainnya lalu klik Print. Dengan aplikasi ini kita bisa mencetak apa saja dan dari tampilan apa saja ( asal ada menu Print ) dalam format Pdf. Sepertinya Mozilla Firefox 3 nantinya akan menyertakan fasilitas save as pdf sedangkan browser Safari sudah menyertakan fasilitas ini sejak awal.

Menyimpan dalam format Image

Hal ini mungkin jarang kita ketahui, dengan fasilitas ini kita bisa menyimpan tampilan web dalam image. Untuk bisa melakukan hal ini, diperlukan browser Mozilla Firefox dan tambahan plugins, salah satunya yang bernama Save as image. Install plugin dari sini. Setelah diinstall dan Firefox di restart (jalankan ulang), akan tampil sub menu tambahan “Save Page As Image”, tinggal dipilih menu File > Save Page As Image. Maka akan tampil image yang akan disimpan dengan beberapa pilihan Style, area dan output (Format dan Quality). Kita bisa memilih format PNG, JPG atau GIF.

Bisa juga menyimpan dalam format image dengan aplikasi screenshot, seperti SnagIT dan sebagainya, tetapi hal itu kurang praktis.

Sepertinya majalah PC Media edisi 03/2008 belum selesai saya baca, tapi tadi sore Majalah PC Media 04/2008 sudah datang, dan tentunya kedatangannya membawa serta rilis terbaru PC Media Antivirus (PCMAV) dalam keping DVD. Ada juga tambahan satu CD yang jika dibaca dari covernya berisi 12 edisi digital Majalah PC Media tahun 2007, mengikuti adat ketika memperingati ulang tahunnya. Sekalian saja saya ucapkan Selamat Ulang Tahun untuk Majalah PC Media.

PCMAV yang disertakan pada edisi ini adalah PCMAV versi 1.1. Dan dalam file readme.txt dijelaskan, masalah integrasi dengan ClamAV yang membuat bingung sebagian pengguna ketika mengikuti petunjuk di file Reame.txt sudah diakomodasi pada versi ini dengan menyesuaikan untuk dapat menggunakan library ClamAv rilis terbaru yang saat ini tersedia yaitu versi 0.92, disamping berbagai perbaikan dan improvisasi lainnya dan tentunya penambahan database pengenal dan pembersih 67 virus lokal/asing/varian baru yang dilaporkan menyebar di Indonesia.

Mau download PCMAV Rc21? PCMAV 1.0 RC 21 sudah keluar dan diberitakan bahwa versi ini 3x lebih cepat dari versi yang sebelumnya (ada yang sudah pernah membandingkan?).
Tapi ada yang aneh dalam antivirus ini, dia terdeteksi sebagai virus oleh beberapa program antivirus seperti McAfee (W32/virut.h), Kaspersky (Virus.Win32.Virut.ac), AVG (Virus.Win32.Virut.O), dll. Untung yang PCMAV-CLN.exe nya bisa di-clean jadi masih bisa dipakai (ternyata ga bisa dipakai), dan yg RTP-nya langsung di-delete sama antivirus. Gimana nih PCMAV?
Setelah investigasi kecil-kecilan ternyata hasil download saya sdh terkena virus sebelumnya, bukan karena kesalahan dari
PCMAV.
Alhamdulillah kini telah hadir revisi untuk PCMAV ini dan penambahan update1 (dan sudah ga kedetect virus lagi)

PC Media Antivirus (PCMAV) RC20 telah hadir dalam keping DVD majalah PC Media edisi 10/2007 yang saya beli tadi siang. Dari file readme.txt yang disertakan, pada rilis ini ditambahkan database pengenal dan pembersih 89 virus lokal/asing/varian baru yang dilaporkan menyebar di Indonesia. Niat cari kerja malah ketipu

Rekan yang sedang mencari pekerjaan (menganggur atau ingin beralih profesi) harap SELEKTIF dalam mecermati iklan lowongan pekerjaan baik di KORAN atau di INTERNET. Sekilas tidak ada yang aneh dengan iklan lowongan pekerjaan tersebut, tetapi jika diperhatikan lebih lanjut maka ada pola dunia usahanya hampir sama, berdalih PELATIHAN (TRAINER) bidang Finansial tetapi di ujung kita diminta untuk ber-INVESTASI atau dikenal dengan nama TRADER atau FUTURE atau PENANAMAN Modal berjangka.

Jika sewaktu-waktu anda menemukan iklan yang berbunyi seperti gambar dibawah (entah dikoran atau Internet) , harap Pelamar hati-hati. Tak sedikit korban pelamar yang waktu dan uangnya terbuang percuma. Dan rasanya sudah terlalu lama mereka bebas melakukan aksi penipuannya.

Eko Juniarto mengingatkan saya bahwa pernah beberapa kali terjadi penipuan berkedok lowongan pekerjaan. Para pelamar dijanjikan posisi ‘Marketing Executive’ atau posisi lainnya yang terkesan bagus. Tetapi pada kenyataannya para pelamar tidak mendapat gaji tetap dan terkesan perusahaan tersebut bukan ingin mencari karyawan, tetapi mencari koneksi ke orang-orang yang memiliki banyak uang untuk ‘diinvestasikan’. Bahkan ada beberapa ‘pelamar’ yang kehilangan uang setelah ‘melamar’ pekerjaan ke perusahaan tersebut.

Perusahaan yang dimaksud salah satunya adalah Maxgain atau Graha Finesa. Berikut adalah beberapa tulisan di Internet yang membahas perusahaan ini.

Boss…, terus terang saja saya sudah 3 hari ikutan training di PT. Graha Finesa Berjangka di Wisma BNI 46 Lantai 28. Alhamdulillah walaupun terlambat tapi saya tetap bersyukur karena saya nggak akan kelamaan ngikutin tuh “BLOODY F***ING TRAINING” yang ternyata sebenarnya hanya akal-akalan si “MOTHER F***ER” atawa ide dari “BOSS-BOSS SIALAN” PT. GRAHA FINESA BERJANGKA doang..!!.Gimana Nggak harus bersyukur Boss, kalau saya ngikutin Training maka biaya “TERBUANG PERCUMA” yang harus saya keluarkan dari saku seharinya saja melebihi Rp.50.000,-dengan perincian:
1. Bahan bakar = Rp. 20.000,- (Dengan asumsi pada hari pertama saya interview saya isi bensin Rp. 50.000,-, dihari ketiga saya ikutan Training saya harus isi bensin lagi. selama tiga hari tersebut Mobil tidak saya gunakan kemana-mana selain perjalanan PP dari rumah saya ke Wisma BNI 46).
2. Makan Siang+Minum = Rp. 15.000,- itupun makan di Kaki Lima / belakang gedung Artha Graha.
3. Biaya Parkir dari jam 08:15 s/d 16:40 = Rp. 18.000,- Demi Allah (bukannya saya takabur)Uang sebanyak itu tidaklah seberapa besar bagi kami (Alhamdulillah Istri saya saat ini masih bekerja), tapi kalau sekarang ini saya mengetahui bahwa saya tidak akan mendapatkan posisi yang saya lamar, dan malahan akan diarahkan kepada posisi lain yang notabenenya pasti tidak akan saya mau terima (jadi Investor…?? Uang dari mana..?? wong saya nyari kerja itu untuk nyari uang Koq..!! Kumaha iyeuu teh…??? GELO SIA…!!), sah-sah sajakan kalau saya katakan “TERBUANG PERCUMA”..???. (saya Kasihan dong sama Istri saya, dia khan sudah capek-capek kerja). Kenapa saya sampai ikutan di hari ketiga…???
1. Karena saya merasa senang, gimana nggak wong sudah cukup lama menganggur ada panggilan kerja (Ehh.ternyata saya terlampau ke GE-ERan, Hik..hik..!!).
2. Saya desperate sekali untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan saat ini. Persaingan antara/sesama pencari kerja saat ini sangatlah tinggi ditambah lagi biaya pengeluaran untuk kebutuhan hidup (sekolah anak, listrik, telephone,bahan bakar kendaraan, dsb)semakin meningkat.
3. Dihari pertama dan kedua saya selalu dijelaskan oleh wakil dari PT. GRAHA FINESA BERJANGKA bahwa saya wajib mengetahui apa usaha yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan, untuk itu saya harus mengikuti job training dahulu, baru pada akhir training, enduser dari departement yang saya lamar akan menilai performance saya dan merekalah yang akan menentukan saya diterima atau tidak.
3. Dari pada tidak ada kerjaan, saya berpikir saat itu nggak ada salahnya untuk ngisi waktu luang.
4. Kesalahan saya sendiri, karena sehari sebelum Interview pertama, saya hanya membuka halaman pertama sewaktu saya search PT. GRAHA FINESA BERJANGKA di Google, jadi belum mengetahui adanya forum ini (Forum ini ada di halaman 2).Sekali lagi “SYUKUR ALHAMDULILLAH” karena sekarang saya dapat mengetahui kinerja PT. GRAHA FINESA BERJANGKA yang sebenarnya. Terima kasih untuk Boss Priyadi untuk mengadakan Forum ini.Memang sangatlah sulit untuk mencari “BUKTI” atau “MODUS” yang mengarahkan bahwa PT. GRAHA FINESA BERJANGKA melakukan tindakan pidana berupa “Penipuan”, karena di satu sisi sebenarnya secara kasat mata ini jelas-jelas “PENIPUAN BERKEDOK LOWONGAN PEKERJAAN”, tapi sebaliknya (sisi lainnya) kita sulit untuk membuktikannya karena menurut saya pasti mereka akan berargumentasi bahwa:
1. Perusahaan mereka mempunyai izin resmi.
2. Perusahaan mereka terdaftar di salah satu Lembaga/Badan Institusi Resmi Pemerintah RI. (Departemen Perdagangan/BAPEPTI, dsb).
3. Mereka berhak mencari calon tenaga kerja sebanyak-banyaknya dengan cara mereka ini karena mereka juga akan bilang tidak ada satupun undang-undang dinegara ini yang melarang suatu perusahaan melakukan tindakan atau cara-cara seperti yang mereka lakukan selama ini.
4. Mereka tidak menipu/menggelapkan uang pencari kerja, mereka pasti akan berdalih bahwa mereka sebenarnya malahan memberikan “Training” secara gratis, mereka hanya menawarkan kalau si pencari kerja itu mau ikutan menjadi penanam modal (Investor) atau tidak.
5. Mereka akan bilang mereka telah memberitahukan kepada para Investor bahwa Investasi yang dilakukan oleh PT. GFB adalah Futures dan merupakan investasi yang sangat menguntungkan serta sangat beresiko (High risk and high return).
6. Kalau terjadi loss paling-paling mereka akan mengatakan:
a. Telah terjadi kesalahan investasi akibat Investor/Trader memiliki pengetahuan yang kurang.
b. Dalam melakukan investasi perlu memakai logika, semakin besar potensi keuntungan yang diperoleh akan semakin beresiko.
c. Dalam melakukan investasi perlu mengetahui karakteristik dari investasi itu sendiri, peraturan2 nya, ketentuan2 nya.Gimana nih para Bapak-Bapak dan Ibu-Ibu Pejabat yang berwenang akan permasalahan ini. Saya yakin betul Bapak dan Ibu tidak akan menganggap bahwa semua tulisan (uneg-uneg) saya beserta teman-teman sesama pencari kerja lainnya yang tertulis didalam forum ini hanya sekedar tulisan/cerita untuk menuh-menuhin forum ini doang..!! (PASTINYA TIDAK DONG….!!!). Saya mohon dengan sangat “Para Ahli Hukum” dinegara yang sama-sama kita cintai ini, tuang dan berikan kami pengetahuan/ilmumu, karena semua itu sangatlah kami butuhkan saat ini karena semua itu pula dapat membantu kami(para pencari kerja), agar dapat mencari celah pelanggaran hukum yang dilakukan oleh PT. GRAHA FINESA BERJANGKA serta perusahaan lain yang melakukan hal/cara yang sama, agar dimasa mendatang saudara-saudara kita yang akan mencari kerja tidak mengalami nasib yang sama dengan yang kami alami saat ini.
(KOQ SAYA BERUBAH JADI PUITIS SEPERTI INI HE.HE.HE..!).Perlu saya tekankan disini bahwa saya bukanlah ahli dalam bidang(masalah hukum) seperti ini, bahkan boleh dibilang saya “BUTA” sama sekali, tapi seperti apa yang pernah saya katakan diatas, masalah ini sebenarnya secara kasat mata terbukti ada unsur “Penipuan” (PT.GFB melalui perwakilannya selalu meyakinkan si pelamar bahwa seolah-olah posisi yang mereka lamar itu ada, tapi mereka harus mengikuti
“Training” terlebih dahulu, Nah pada kenyataanya diakhir Training ternyata mereka akan diajak untuk ikutan menanam modal atau mencari calon penanam modal dan BUKANNYA diarahkan untuk menempati posisi yang mereka lamar terlebih dahulu atau seperti apa yang selalu diyakinkan oleh perwakilan PT. GFB).Entah kenapa tiba-tiba saja rasa nasionalis saya muncul, terus terang saya merasa kasihan sama rekan-rekan pencari kerja yang baru akan diinterview oleh PT.GFB yang notabenenya adalah saudara sebangsa dan setanah air saya yang saat ini sebenarnya tengah berjuang untuk mencari nafkah/penghasilan, namun pada akhirnya mereka akan membuang uang mereka dengan percuma (minimal ongkos dan biaya makan siang), Hanya karena mereka tidak sadar bahwa mereka akan diarahkan kepada posisi kerja yang lain daripada apa yang mereka harapkan / inginkan. PT. GRAHA FINESA BERJANGKA hanya berkeinginan mendapatkan Penanam Modal (Investor) baru agar mereka juga mendapatkan Brokerage Fee sebesar US$ 240.00 per Trade dipotong US$ 30.00 untuk Komisi Trader. Dalam satu hari saja bisa terjadi lebih dari tiga kali Trading dari satu Investor, bayangkan berapa Brokerage Fee yang akan mereka terima dalam satu harinya. (Hitung sendiri aja ya…!!! he…he..he…!!!).Saya rasa sudah saatnya sekarang ini Pemerintah melalui Departemen-Departement yang terkait membuat suatu Rancangan Undang-Undang perlindungan Calon Tenaga Kerja (Pencari Kerja), agar kasus yang terjadi pada diri saya (dan sesama korban lainnya) tidak terjadi lagi. Amiiin…..!!!.Sekali lagi ah…, kayaknya hati ini belum puas kalau belum bilang…:

Kemarin gw di telp dari perusahaan untuk interview, ngakunya sich dari PT MAXGAIN, gw diminta dateng ke gedung BEJ lantai 29 untuk interview hari selasa besok tgl 11 April 2006. gw ngerasa nggak pernah kirim lamaran kesana koq ada panggilan, aneh ga.. ahirnya gw putuskan harus cari info dulu sblm dateng. ahirnya tau dech gimana reputasinya MAXGAIN, kalo hanya mau tipu-tipu, ga usah repot2 gitu dech… dosa tau
so buat temen-temen yang nyari kerja, hati2 sebelum melangkah..ok!

While there, I got a hands-on, close-up look at the coolest new Media Player features. Many of the improvements are due to the redesigned interface, which includes helpful shortcuts on the menus and menu bars, simplified trees and an improved and advanced media library. There are now Back and Forward buttons, giving Media Player a web-browser feel; a lightning-fast WordWheel search tool for getting through the library; and Xbox 360 support. And I'm just getting started! In this article, I'll introduce the features I found most exciting, and features you're going to love when you get your hands on Media Player 11.

Reliability, ease of use, and hardware support
Windows Media Player 11 is by far the most reliable, easy to use, and complete music experience available. In my time with it, I found it to be extremely dependable. It's fast too, and it reminded me of expensive Internet jukeboxes normally found only in nightclubs and bars. As with those high-end players, the line between what's actually on the jukebox and what comes from the Internet is nearly indistinguishable. Media Player 11, in my opinion, is the best jukebox I've ever experienced.

Enhanced, user-friendly interface
The Media Player 11 interface makes finding the media you want easier than ever. The complicated (and sometimes convoluted) trees that once appeared in the Media Player Library are gone. Now when you select a category from the Library, the content in that category appears off to the right instead of under the category on the left. Finally, no more long album and artist listings that scroll into infinity!

With the trees gone, Media Player 11 is easier to navigate than any of its predecessors. There aren't any lines between the trees, album information, or CD cover art, and the default album art view now shows album art and track information in the center of the screen. All of this makes finding the information you want a lot easier.

Along with enhanced views, the buttons at the top of the interface contain new shortcuts. Some of my favorites include adjusting format and bitrate on the fly for CD ripping, and switching back and forth from audio to data settings for CD burning. With these new shortcuts, you'll spend more time viewing and listening to your media, and less time managing it.

Finally, I love the new playback controls at the bottom of the screen. They're large and easy to use, and intuitive enough for anyone to easily operate. No more fumbling around trying to click those small controls from the old Media Player, and no more awkward scrambling for the mute button when your boss enters the room. "

Make Your Own Label

Plain old-fashioned looking discs are no longer in trend. Few users are employing markers for defining the contents. The new technology injected printing capabilities in writing units and nowadays most of them have LightScribe technology, or LabelFlash.

Transforming a regular DVD into a real piece of artwork is only a matter of your imagination as the tools to do it with are abundant on the market. Provided that Nero is mostly known for its burning capabilities, it was only a matter of time until they released an application specially tailored to help creating unique CD/DVD labels, booklets, inlays or disc labels.

The newest version brings little novelty to the program and the same ease of use is available. Immediately after launching the software, you will be prompted to make your pick regarding the type of document to be created. The list of documents available is not changed and you can select any of the eleven choices (Standard, DVD Case, Multi Box, Maxi, Slim Pack, Mini-CD, Biz Card – rectangular, envelope, Custom and Full Template). Each of them comes with a set of templates you can use unhindered.

As soon as you have elected the desired cover you want to create you can start editing and embellishing it. Though the work in Nero CoverDesigner is very similar to working in an image editor, the set of tools is quite limited. The list on the left hand side consists of a selection tool, line, rectangle and ellipse drawing instruments, two text tools (artistic and text box), image inserting tool and field tool.

At the bottom of the drawing window, there are the elements of the case to be edited. You can customize each of them differently with little difficulty. Choosing a template document is always the easiest but also the less original way to reaching a pleasant result. Nevertheless, there are some advantages as Document Data window automatically pops up and all you have to do is fill in the fields with the title, year of release, artist or publisher's name, type in the name of each track if you are creating a cover for an audio disc etc.

There is no effort in this activity and if one of the available templates are not to your taste just go with the instinct and create your own designs. Adding your data is done from Data menu. Document Data provides all the fields and options for adding the desired text to the label. In the case of an audio disc you can add as many tracks as you want and append their names together with play duration. The application will calculate the entire duration of the disc automatically and add the information at the bottom of the cover. Of course, this can be removed at any time before printing.

The same customization can be made in the case of a data disc. Only this time you have to add the files directly from the computer. They will be appended to the cover together with the file extension, as well. With folders, the process functions the same way as with single files. The only trouble here is that the size of the files is not accurate. All sizes will be shown in MB only and the application does not round it up (a 3.9MB file will be displayed as having 3MB). Also, data with less than 1MB in size will appear with zero MB.

However, it seems that this happens only when creating a Standard Data CD booklet with one of the available templates. If you make your cover by yourself or with Custom template, everything is almost fine because the file size is displayed in bytes with absolutely no marking for decimals. This can be a bit confusing when making the conversion in MB or even KB for some users.

The support for LabelFlash technology makes it easy to print text even on the data side of the DVD. But it seems that there is a bit of work needed in detecting LabelFlash drives. During our testing, the application detected my Hama U3 flash pen as a FlashLabel printing device. I also tried with a regular flash pen and a SanDisk Cruzer U3 stick, but Nero CoverDesigner could not be fooled by them. Of course, there could be no selection of which side to be burned and no settings could be made.

All in all, the application has little changes compared to its earlier version. A few templates have been added and other than this, there is no addition, save for the interface which is definitely better looking.

The Good

The learning curve is smooth and the application is extremely easy to use. It can provide you with a print preview for both regular paper printing as well as for LightScribe and LabelFlash.

There are plenty of paper stocks to choose from and you can add your own customizations to the list. Configuring the application requires little effort from you.

The Bad

The size of the files and folders when creating a Standard data disc booklet with a template is not accurate. The size of the files added to the cover is expressed in bytes.

The Truth

Nero CoverDesigner is a light solution for creating your disc covers. It has too few tools to create a professional result, but the truth is that it was never intended as a full fledged professional cover designer.

It is a fast and pretty good solution for making covers and burning both data and label sides of your DVDs. Very easy to use and learn, Nero CoverDesigner is perfect for the average user.

VMware Creates Open Source VMware Tools

VMworld 2007 was the place where VMware, Inc. announced their release of a majority of VMware Tools as open source software, all making part of the Open VIrtual Machine Tools project. VMware Tools comprises a number of guest operation system virtualization components that enhance performance and can improve the management of VMware virtual
machines.

Open Virtual Machine Tools enables VMware, by integrating Linux distribution partners to streamline the delivery, maintenance and support of these guest OS components, to better support their customers. The areas where collaboration with the community is expected include porting to new operating systems, creating new technologies and increasing the involvement in the creation and testing process.

Paul Poppleton, senior staff IT engineer at Qualcomm, considers Open Virtual Machine Tools the best solution for reducing costs and better support Qualcomm's virtualized Linux deployment, and he thinks that VMware has created a clear path for Linux distributors to integrate VMware Tools within the operating system.

VMware is also working with Ubuntu, Novell, Red Hat and others to integrate open-sourced VMware Tools in the system's setup process. The founder of the Ubuntu project, Mark Shuttleworth said: "We are very pleased with VMware's demonstrated ability to work with the open source community. Open Virtual Machine Tools streamlines the process of providing ISVs with an edition of Ubuntu optimized for virtual appliances that follows the JeOS concept of 'Just Enough Operating System' and allows us to provide end users of the Ubuntu operating system with a compelling out-of-the-box experience. We look forward to the debut of Open Virtual Machine Tools within a future release of Ubuntu."

Open Virtual Machine Tools will be released under GPLv2 and GPLv2-compatible licenses, and a commercial version will be available too. The decision to release the product under the afore-mentioned licenses was taken because the VMware wanted their software to be consistent with the Linux kernel's license.

Breakthrough: First Individual Human Genome Decoded

This is one of the greatest discoveries since the emergence of genetics: the first individual human genome ever sequenced, a complete personal DNA blueprint. The famous researcher Craig Venter has found a much higher genetic variation among humans than scientists had previously believed.

"The 2.8 billion contiguous bits of genetic code will also hasten advances in preventative medicine," said Venter, also co-author of the research.

"Within five years, faster and cheaper sequencing techniques
could produce complete genomes for 10,000 people, laying the foundation for an era of individualized genomics. Once we have those, we will basically be able to sort out every fundamental question about nature versus nurture, what's genetic and what's environment," he added.

The new research wiped out the widespread concept that all humans are genetically 99.9 % alike. Venter was one of the first to advocate this in 2000 after the completion of the first map of the human genome, a project in which he was also involved. But those works significantly underestimated genetic diversity because the whole was the result of DNA samples achieved from several individuals.

The new genome, called "HuRef", shows more complex differences than previously detected single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) (changes of just one nucleotide, the building molecular bricks of DNA), which determine simple mutations, once believed to be the main cause of differences in human traits and disease vulnerability.

It seems that changes in the previously disregarded "junk DNA" are equally important.

"This dispels the notion we had in 2000 and 2001 that we all have exactly the same genes in the human population. It would have been very disturbing if the range of characteristics that we see all came down to a few simple SNP variations," said Venter.

Now it appears that individual genome can vary from individual to individual up to 44 % of genes.

"This is a number that geneticists and biologists have been wondering about for 50 to 100 years," said co-author Stephen Scherer, a geneticist at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

The 2000 human genome project was already made in a proportion of 60 % on Venter's own DNA and "HuRef" was finished based on this support, an additional sum of $10 million and 3 years.

Many are concerned that personal gene health information could become a routine and would lead to genetic discrimination. Venter found on his genome a genetic propensity toward Alzheimer's and cardiovascular disease and he has started taking statins, drugs forestalling both conditions.

But insurers or employers could use data of genetic diseases or propensity to them or addictions. Still, the advantages could be much higher.

"We hope to teach people they should welcome it as a breath of fresh air that gives them opportunities in their lives."

Obviously, everybody is now waiting for the Vista flavor of Yahoo Messenger which was announced a long time ago and is expected to come with revolutionary functions compatible with the latest version of the Microsoft operating system.

Yahoo Messenger is more than an instant messaging application as millions of consumers use it to communicate with their friends or family for every corner of the world. The program comes with lots of goodies except the basic chatting features such as emoticons, audibles, VoIP support and many others that are meant to improve the chatting experience. I'm here to tell you--and if you're a longtime Apple fan you know this already--when it comes to Apple, the rumor mill never stops. You may have already heard the rumor about the iPhone Nano--a smaller, less expensive version of the iPhone. Though it sounded like an interesting concept and got plenty of coverage, it did indeed turn out to be only a rumor. MXPlay mashes up with Firefox

Today, MXPlay--the digital-music player that focuses on customizing and enhancing your playback sound, while also letting you mash up streaming audio with Web videos (covered previously)--launched a Windows-only add-on for the Mozilla Firefox browser. Called MXPlay Web, the Firefox add-on part is a simple orange MXPlay button that sits in your toolbar. Whenever you navigate to a Web page that includes MP3 files, the button transforms into a musical note. Click that note, and you can "play" that Web page in a pop-up music player.

After you select "Play this page," MXPlay Web will list all of the available MP3 songs on that Web page. You can then mark any of your favorites and save them to a personal playlist. Unfortunately, once you create that playlist, MXPlay Web somewhat randomly puts them into an order that you cannot change manually.

Just like the full app, MXPlay Web lets you customize the sound of the music using the same unique graphic interface. Drag and drop the head icon (the listener) and each of your available speakers to a specific location on the screen, which affects sound levels and direction. Moving data, especially large amounts of it, can be costly. So, this is sometimes avoided by using "pointers" to data instead. Computations include simple operations such as incrementing the value of a variable data element. More complex computations may involve many operations and data elements together.

Instructions may be performed sequentially, conditionally, or iteratively. Sequential instructions are those operations that are performed one after another. Conditional instructions are performed such that different sets of instructions execute depending on the value(s) of some data. In some languages this is known as an "if" statement. Iterative instructions are performed repetitively and may depend on some data value. This is sometimes called a "loop." Often, one instruction may "call" another set of instructions that are defined in some other program or module. When more than one computer processor is used, instructions may be executed simultaneously.

A simple example of the way software operates is what happens when a user selects an entry such as "Copy" from a menu. In this case, a conditional instruction is executed to copy text from data in a 'document' area residing in memory, perhaps to an intermediate storage area known as a 'clipboard' data area. If a different menu entry such as "Paste" is chosen, the software may execute the instructions to copy the text from the clipboard data area to a specific location in the same or another document in memory.

Depending on the application, even the example above could become complicated. The field of software engineering endeavors to manage the complexity of how software operates. This is especially true for software that operates in the context of a large or powerful computer system.

Currently, almost the only limitations on the use of computer software in applications is the ingenuity of the designer/programmer. Consequently, large areas of activities (such as playing grand master level chess) formerly assumed to be incapable of software simulation are now routinely programmed. The only area that has so far proved reasonably secure from software simulation is the realm of human art— especially, pleasing music and literature.^{[citation needed]}
